A founder's story
I built the AI platform I desperately needed myself.
After spending 15+ hours a day managing 30 simultaneous AI sessions — and still not getting what I needed — I stopped and asked a different question: why is this so hard for everyone? The answer became Sanctom OS.
It was never my intention to build an AI operating system.

In 2025, I launched Sanctom to fulfill a vision years in the making: an online community platform where people could get the coaching they need to live more fulfilled lives. Then AI changed everything.

By early 2026 I was running 30 AI sessions simultaneously — and spending 15 to 16 hours a day babysitting them. I hit Enter hundreds of times a day just to grant agents the permissions they needed to do the jobs I specifically asked them to do.

I've helped Bill Gates launch Microsoft's Consulting Services Division and founded multiple software companies since. Even with all of that experience, this whole process was just too difficult.

If I was experiencing this much pain trying to run an AI-first company — a lot of other people would be hitting the same walls. That realisation is what became Sanctom OS.

"I never thought that at 64 years of age I would be building an AI Operating System. But that is exactly where I found myself — and I couldn't be more grateful."

14 reasons I built Sanctom OS
01Reason 01AI platforms weren't built for real humansLook at any major LLM interface — nothing about them was designed for the way real people think and work. Managing agents shouldn't require a computer science degree.
Sanctom Mind
02Reason 02Every new session starts from zeroEvery time you start a session you have to re-educate the agent about who you are and what your organisation does — from scratch. Without that context, how can they possibly do meaningful work?
Sanctom Soul
03Reason 03No communication, continuity, or workflow between agentsGetting one agent to reliably hand off work to another is practically impossible on existing platforms. Enterprise-scale multi-agent workflows simply weren't available to everyday users.
Sanctom Factory
04Reason 04Most agents are just glorified chat sessionsGiving a chat session a name doesn't make it an agent. Real agents need defined roles, skills, permissions, memory, and the ability to work unsupervised.
Sanctom Agents
05Reason 05Agents lack the permissions to work autonomouslyI can't tell you how many times I hit Enter just to grant an agent permission to do the specific job I asked it to do. True autonomy requires a smarter, task-level permissions model.
Sanctom Harness
06Reason 06Agents have no specialised skills — and they fake itAgents are so confident they'll attempt anything — even when they're guessing. Large skill files bloat their memory and cause hallucinations. We needed micro-skills: precise, lightweight, assigned only for the task at hand.
Sanctom Skills
07Reason 07Agents don't produce consistent resultsAgents are so creative they reinvent the wheel every time. Getting a whole team of agents to follow the same brand standards and design rules is nearly impossible without a shared canonical component library.
Sanctom Craft
08Reason 08You're forced to pick one AI platform for everythingSome models excel at research, others at code, others at creative work. We decided we would never hitch our wagon to a single LLM vendor — and neither should you.
Sanctom Conductor
09Reason 09Nobody is managing your token costsMajor LLM vendors profit from your token inefficiency. Most people don't know what they're spending — or how to optimise it. We believe we can save organisations up to 50% just by switching to Sanctom OS.
Sanctom Purse
10Reason 10LLM platforms can't power commercial applicationsThe moment you need to build something for more than a couple of users, complexity explodes. We built 35+ enterprise-grade services on AWS capable of scaling to millions — and made them available to everyone.
Sanctom Platform
11Reason 11Agents are trapped on one deviceEvery major LLM platform stores agent files in a local folder. You can't switch from your desktop to your laptop without starting over. Your agents should go wherever you go.
Portable Sanctom Agents
12Reason 12AI still runs on the surface of your devicesWe're building Sanctom OS for Mac integrated directly into macOS — taking full advantage of Apple Silicon, Apple Intelligence, and Apple apps. No band-aids. No surface-level overlays.
Sanctom OS for Mac
13Reason 13Major LLM vendors aren't delivering ROIFrontier models are expensive and open-source alternatives are already at parity for 80% of everyday tasks. Sanctom Nexus brings that cost advantage directly to our customers — verified by independent testing.
Sanctom Nexus
14Reason 14Agents don't have real personalitiesCompetitors represent agents as little bots or paper clips. Our agents have real names, personalities, lifelike images, and voices — and you can have live video conferences with your entire Sanctom team.
Sanctom Agents, Share, Heard
Sanctom is built on Sanctom.
Because if we need it — you need it too.

Every product in Sanctom OS exists because we felt the pain ourselves. We didn't build features — we solved problems that were blocking us from doing our best work. Now we're making that available to everyone.
